I developed a .Net based Car PC Software for my Car PC in Singapore. I used it for an year before coming to india.

The first thing I did was once in india is searching for a car with double din slot. I am a Lancer fan from my college days. And since it has the double din slot, I started porting my carputer setup to my lancer.

I am writing here post installation and could not take the photos since I was busy installing(co-ordinating) the system. Will upload high quality pictures soon.

Intel Mini ITX board : Intel®D510MO

Harddisk : SataII 500GB

RAM : 2GB

Operating System: Windows 7

Navigation : GPS Receiver (USB GPS Receiver 20 Channels SiRF StarIII sg1)

GPS Mouse

Navigation Software : Garmin Mobile PC(GMPC)

Map data :earlier in Singapore used Malfree maps, India forgot the provider name but trip to kodaikanal and munnar was great fun with this map data

Main software : Written by me in .Net 4.0 with WPF and MS Access. It is far from perfection but it does serve the purpose.

No, Not at all dificult. It has gone as simple as installing the aftermarket amplifier.
